p style="text-align: justify;">The convener of The Exceptional Alaga conference 2.0, Olaoluwakitan Abiola, popularly known as Amoke Alaga, has said that the after effect of the COVID-19 pandemic was a major reason behind the recently held conference which provided a platform for Yoruba traditional wedding Master of Ceremonies to learn and relearn.

p style="text-align: justify;">Abiola noted that the ‘alaga’ profession was a source of livelihood for many Nigerians, especially women. She also stated that professional development could not be compromised for anyone who wished to thrive in the events industry. According to her, that was what informed the theme of the conference― Re-invention in the Alaga Industry.

p style="text-align: justify;">Another highpoint of the conference was the dinner and awards presented to individuals who had distinguished themselves in their various fields. The awardees include the Chief Executive Officer of Americana Engagers, Oluyemi Dina; Iyaloja of Lagos Island, Risikat Odumosu; CEO of Bonix Drinks, Bola Okolie; Mubo Adegoke of MMB Catering; CEO of Busy Bee Events, Bisi Sotunde; CEO of Kolony Events, Nike Akinyemi; CEO of Honey Tee, Temitope Salako; CEO of Sir Kay Matrimonies, Kayode Omotosho; and CEO of Ebony Suzie Productions, Toluwalase Dele.
