Kwara United retains NPFL lead
By Olawale Alabi Kwara United Football Club retained leadership of the current Nigerian Professional Football League 2020/2021 (NPFL) on Sunday, despite a goalless draw against visiting Heartland FC. In their Matchday 15 match at the Kwara Stadium complex in Ilorin, the hosts failed to break visiting Owerri-based Heartland FC. The draw at home means they failed to extend their lead at the top of the paper and are now co-leaders with Rangers International FC Enugu. Kwara United is with 27 points in 15 matches, with a +7 goal difference, one goal ahead of Enugu-based Rangers who beat Adamawa United 1-0.
