Zozibini Tunzi Makes History As The Longest-Reigning Miss Universe


SA beauty queen Zozibini Tunzi made history by becoming the longest-serving beauty queen with the help of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Zozi Tunzi was crowned beauty queen in 2019 and still remains Miss Universe due to the impact of the pandemic which led to the beauty pageant being halted last year.

This year the beauty pageant will be held in Miami, Florida from the 16th of May onwards.

Miss SA took to their official social media account to write: “Extraordinary times call for extraordinary leaders! Today we celebrate Zozi as the longest-reigning Miss Universe! Thank you for taking up space and inspiring us all.”

The star herself has taken to her Instagram account to jokingly remind fans she is still the “landlord” of the Universe.

“The one with the Title Deed of the Universe. The keeper of keys! The landlord. First of her name! You can disagree in the comments if you like. Not sure where you’re gonna stay after I kick you out though,” she said.
