Manchester United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has commented on the performances of Paul Pogba and Dean Henderson following his side’s Europa League round of 16 second-leg 1-0 win over AC Milan on Thursday.
Solskjaer’s men defeated the Serie A giants at San Siro, thanks to Pogba’s goal in the 48 minutes.
“I’m very happy, of course. A very well-done job, because they were two very even games really,” Solskjaer said in his post-match press conference.
“It was always going to be decided on a piece of quality or a piece of magic from someone. A set-play, maybe.
“Dean [Henderson] had a fantastic save towards the end from Zlatan’s [Ibrahimovic] header. It was a very good goal by Paul [Pogba].
“I think we did enough to go through. We have come through a very difficult tie against a fantastic club and a very good team.”
He added, “We have missed Paul. He’s been out for almost two months, and of course, any team would miss a player like Paul Pogba, and he was just getting into his best form. And for us, he’s going to give us a really big boost for the rest of the season.
“Today, he made a very, very big difference for us. Technically, he’s one of the best footballers around.”
