Coronavirus – Eswatini: COVID-19 update (March 17, 2021)

Sixteen patients were diagnosed positive for COVID-19 in tests carried out today at quarantine centers in the Central and Gash Barka regions.

Of these, eleven patients come from quarantine centers in Asmara, in the central region. The other five patients come from the Om-Hajer (3) and Adibara (2) quarantine centers, in the Gash Barka region.

On the other hand, thirty-nine patients who received medical treatment in hospitals in the central region made a full recovery and were discharged from these establishments.

The total number of patients cured to date has thus increased to 2,770 while the number of deaths stands at seven.

The total number of confirmed cases in the country so far has risen to 3,078.
