The Chairman of the task force, Felix Nwadibe, who disclosed this to journalists on Tuesday, said those arrested would be charged to court.
Nwadibe explained that some task force officials had dispersed street traders in the area, adding that another team drafted to the area was later attacked by hoodlums.
The task force chairman said one of his men, who was seriously injured, had been admitted to hospital.
“About 13 of them (attackers) have been arrested and they will be charged to court. They have made statements to the police, confessing that they actually attacked the men and used cutlasses on them,” Nwadibe added.
