NC Front sets July 2021 target to formalise merger

LEADERS of the National Consultative Front, on Tuesday, inaugurated a 22-member Political Merger Committee under the leadership of a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ghali Na’aba.

The committee was given the task of facilitating an inclusive Mega Party Movement to provide a credible alternative platform to the All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party.

Membership of the committee includes the National Chairmen of 12 opposition political parties, nine political movements as well as interest groups.

Head of the NC Front Secretariat Olawale Okunniyi said, “The journey to the total liberation of Nigeria from the misrule of both the APC and the PDP has started. We believe that by 2023, a new political force which will take Nigeria to the promise land will be fully in place.”
