Nigeria Under-19 Volleyball Team Head Coach Sani Mohammed urged the Nigerian Volleyball Federation (NVBF) to give his team enough time to prepare for the FIFA World Cup. world.
Mohammed told reporters after their last game against Morocco on Monday in Abuja that they needed enough time to prepare and achieve good results at the World Cup in Iran.
“Thanks to Almighty God who blessed us with success in the championship. We fought to keep our title of reigning champion on the continent.
“At the last World Cup, we finished in 17th position, and this year we want to make a difference. So if we have better preparation now, we will get better results.
“We need good preparation. If you go to the World Cup, you don’t stay at camp for a month or two, but at least four to five months at camp in order to have a good performance in the competition, ”he said.
The Nigerian News Agency (NAN) recalls that Nigerian boys under 19 have won all their matches in the championship.
They beat Cameroon 3-2 in the first game, Gambia 3-1 in their second game and Morocco 3-0 in their last game on Monday.
NAN reports that Nigeria finished first in the championship, while Cameroon took second and Gambia finished third.
Nigeria and Cameroon have now secured World Cup tickets in Iran. (NOPE)
