Lagos police raid criminal hideouts, arrest 27 suspects

Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested 27 suspects in a planned raid carried out on blackspots in the state on the 4th and 5th of February 2021.

The raid is part of the commitment of the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, to continually take the anti-crime fight to the dens of criminals and miscreants in the state.

The spots raided by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad include Ikeja, Agege and Alimosho areas of the state.

The raid also extended to Ile Zik, Dopemu Under Bridge, Shasha, Orisumbare, Iyana-Ipaja Underbridge, Ile-Epo, Abule Egba, Isokoko, Alfa Nla, Capitol Road, Akilo, Marketing, Alausa Central Business District among others.

The arrested suspects include Olajide Kolawole, m, 26, Kehinde Ayoola, m, 25, Dola Abdullahi m, 20, Michael Ogungbade, m, 19, and 23 others.

The Commissioner promised to intensify efforts towards reducing incidences of traffic robbery, cultism and other social vices within the state.
