Eight-year-old singer, Makayla Malaka, has stated that there are potentials embedded in every child and they should be carefully nurtured in order to bring out their best.

Speaking on the heels of the release of her new single titled, Don’t Give Up, the talented singer said, “Children have different growth rates and potential. It is important to harness the talents hidden within each child so they can grow to become kings and queens in their chosen fields.

“Irrespective of whatever happens on their journey to discovering and expressing themselves, they should never give up. That is the message in my newest song.”

Meanwhile the new song is already enjoying favourable airplay across the nation. Fans of the kid music sensation commended her for delving into a genre that even older and more experienced artistes have found difficult to execute. Needless to say, Makayla’s show of versatility is a pointer to the fact that if she continues on that path, she would enjoy longevity in her music career.

The young singer also noted that she was currently working towards creating evergreen songs that would make up her sophomore studio album. “I am reminding everyone to always believe in themselves no matter what they are going through, even when things get tough and nobody else believes in them,” she said.
