Rainstorm wreaks havoc in Ekiti

Heavy rainstorms that accompanied the second rain of the year in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, on Wednesday night wreaked havoc on some parts of the capital city, blowing off rooftops of some buildings and destroying property.

The rain, which started around 8pm and lasted for about an hour, affected strutures such as the state office building of News Agency of Nigeria; Ekitiparapo Pavilion; some offices in the Ekiti State Secretariat; Seventh-Day Adventist Church and some buildings in the Bank Road area.
