92 undergraduates, others arrested for drug offences in 2020 – NDLEA

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Katsina State Command, has said 92 undergraduates were among the 446 suspects arrested for various drug-related offences in the state in 2020.

The state Commandant, Sule Momoudu, spoke in Katsina during a press conference to highlight the achievements of the agency in the previous year.

He said the students, comprising 70 males and 22 females, were arrested from the houses they rented in the state capital, adding that the agency’s report showed that both the young and the old and the rich and the poor, were into drugs in the state.

Momoudu also disclosed that 701.05669 kilograms of assorted drugs were seized by the agency in the year under review, adding that the command secured 54 convictions.    ,,
