Another batch of 420 Nigerian returnees from Saudi Arabia, comprising 27 children and 393 adults arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Wednesday.
The returnees were received by senior government officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Presidential Task Force on COVID
-19, and other relevant agencies.
A statement from the foreign affairs ministry on Thursday, said the Director Consular and Legal
Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Akinremi Bolaji, urged the returnees to cooperate with the government, “as provisions have been made for their basic needs during the mandatory 14-day isolation in line with COVID-19 protocol.”
A total of 384 Nigerians had arrived at the Abuja airport penultimate Thursday.
The returnees included 300 males, 83 females, and one infant.
The returnees were among over 600 Nigerians held in Saudi Arabia for migration reasons.
