Kaduna Government Assent To Reopening Primary and Secondary Schools

Monday, February 1, 2021 has been set as the reopening date for some primary and secondary schools by the Kaduna State Government.

According to Pheobe Yayi, the Permanent Secretary in the State Ministry of Education, student in SS3, JSS3 and JSS1 of public and private secondary schools are to reopen on Monday. Meanwhile, the students in Primary 6, 5, and 4 of Private Schools are to resume on the same day as well.

He revealed that after an extensive evaluation of the second wave of the coronavirus, all public Primary Schools will continue to remain closed until COVID-19 guidelines have been implemented effectively before they resume.

For the classes SS2, SS1 and JSS 2 in public and private schools and Primary 3, 2, 1, and Nursery classes, the reopening dates will be declared at the right time.
