John Alechenu, Abuja
Secondus said this while playing host to the British High Commission’s Political Counsellor on Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, Jonathan Bacon, at the PDP national secretariat in Abuja on Friday.
The party chairman explained that the PDP was planning to hold a conference to discuss the way out of the myriad of socio-political and economic challenges the current regime led by the All Progressives Congress had allegedly plunged the nation into since it took power in 2015.
Secondus said, “For five and a half years now that the APC held sway, our democracy has been under severe stress. All critical institutions of democracy have been brutalised.
Earlier, Bacon informed Secondus that his mission to the PDP secretariat was for him to meet with the leadership of the party to discuss bilateral relations between the United Kingdom and Nigeria.
Attempts to get a reaction from the APC to allegations of non-performance were unsuccessful.
However, the Chairman of the Buhari Media Organisation, Niyi Akinsiju, expressed disappointment that the opposition party in its desperation to paint the Buhari administration bad, uses every opportunity to pull down the nation.
