Chairman of Sportsville Communications (organisers of the Awards), Frank Ilaboya, said the award was in recognition and appreciation of the tireless efforts of the NFF president towards putting Nigeria in a prominent place of pride in world football.
“Sportsville Communications is not unaware of the boundless energy and the unflagging enthusiasm with which Pinnick has been pursuing the issue of uplifting Nigerian football to a higher pedestal on the field and in the boardroom, since he was first elected as president of the NFF in September 2014. He scores high in aggressive marketing and is matchless in seeking high visibility for Nigeria in football’s high table,” Ilaboya said. Overall, 10 prominent Nigerians, including Pinnick, will be honoured at the awards ceremony at the Ibis Royale Hotel, Lagos on Saturday.
Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike; Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu; President, Nigeria Olympic Committee, Habu Gumel; President, Nigeria Basketball Federation, Musa Ahmadu-Kida; Nigeria Women’s Football League boss, Aisha Falode.
Enyimba chairman, Felix Anyansi-Agwu; Brila FM owner, Larry Izamoje; Ebi Egbe of Monimichelle Ltd and Rafiu Ladipo are the other recipients.
