The Ogun State Government on Wednesday said it had not received any petition from the traditional rulers in the Yewa-North Local Government on alleged attack by soldiers on farmers.

Recall that some soldiers from 35 Artilery Brigade, Alamala, Abeokuta, were accused of flogging some farmers for refusing to allow herdsmen to graze on their farms.

Some traditional rulers including the Eselu of Eseluland, Oba Akintunde Akinyemi, said they petitioned the Army, the state government and the police.

But the Special Adviser to the Governor on Public Communications, Remmy Hazzan, said the government had yet to receive it, adding that the government was, however, aware of the incident and had begun moves to address it.
